# Trade with your AI assistant

Trade on Epsilon from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI assistant that speaks MCP: what you can ask, how orders stay non-custodial, and how caps protect you.

Epsilon ships a **Model Context Protocol (MCP) server** — the standard way AI assistants call external tools. Connect it and your assistant can look up tokens, quote routes with real fees, check your orders, and place or cancel limit, stop-loss, DCA and trailing-stop orders on Robinhood Chain in plain language.

The important part: orders placed this way are the **same orders** the web app creates. They are signed by your wallet, rest on-chain, and are executed by keepers — a stop you set from a chat on Monday still protects you on Friday with the chat long closed.

## What you can ask

* "What are the top tokens by volume on Epsilon this week?"
* "Quote 250 USDG to WETH and show me the route and fees."
* "Buy $50 of TSLA and protect it with a 10% trailing stop."
* "DCA $200 into CASHCAT over two weeks, every 12 hours."
* "What's open on my wallet? Cancel the limit that's furthest from filling."
* "How do I place a stop loss on a thin-liquidity token?" (the assistant searches our docs)

Tokens are resolved by name, amounts in dollars, prices in USDG per token. Before anything is placed the assistant shows you the exact amount, route, fee and minimum output — and asks.

## Two ways to connect

|                   | Hosted server                                                                      | Local package                                                              |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **What it is** | `https://api.epsilon.exchange/mcp` — a URL you add to your client | `@epsilon-exchange/mcp` — a small program your client runs on your machine |
| **Can it trade?** | Not yet — read-only: quotes, routes, order books, order status, market stats, docs | Yes — market, limit, stop-loss and DCA orders, plus cancel |
| **Needs a key?** | No (a free developer key raises rate limits) | A free developer key + a wallet key you provide |
| **Best for** | Research, portfolio check-ins, ChatGPT and Grok (which can't run local programs) | Trading from Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini |

Setup for every client, with one-click installs for Cursor and VS Code, is on the developers site: [developers.epsilon.exchange/mcp.html](https://developers.epsilon.exchange/mcp.html). Cursor users can also install the Epsilon plugin (tools + trading skills) from [cursor.directory](https://cursor.directory/plugins/epsilon).

{% hint style="info" %}
**Coming next:** sign in to the hosted server with your Epsilon account, approve each order with a link that opens in the app, or grant a capped "agent" signer — the same delegation the Epsilon Telegram bot uses. When it ships, trading from ChatGPT and Claude on the web needs no local program at all.
{% endhint %}

## How your funds stay yours

* **Non-custodial.** An Epsilon order is an EIP-712 message your wallet signs, not a deposit. Tokens stay in your wallet until the order fills. Epsilon never holds funds, from the app or from an assistant.
* **Your key stays local.** With the local package, the wallet key lives in an environment variable on your machine. It is used to sign and is never sent to Epsilon or to the AI model.
* **Spend cap, fail-closed.** `EPSILON_MAX_ORDER_USD` is a hard ceiling per order. Anything above it is refused; if no price is available to value the order, it is refused too.
* **Explicit confirmation.** With `EPSILON_REQUIRE_CONFIRM=true`, every placement is two steps: a preview with the exact numbers, then a confirm. Nothing is signed on the first pass.
* **Use a dedicated trading wallet.** Fund it with what you are comfortable letting an assistant trade, nothing more. Treat any AI that can call "buy" as able to spend that wallet's balance.

## Tokenized stocks

Robinhood Chain Stock Tokens trade on Epsilon with the same order types as any other token. Buying them is subject to the issuer's eligibility restrictions (they may not be offered to US persons and some other jurisdictions). The tools surface this before a purchase; selling, and all memecoin trades, are never gated.

## Points and rank

Trades signed by your wallet earn your account's points, streak and fee discount whether you or your assistant placed them — points always follow the wallet that signed. See [Points & ranks](/rewards/points-and-ranks.md).

## Building something?

The MCP is a thin layer over the public API. API keys, usage, the TypeScript and Python SDKs, webhooks and the permissionless rev-share are documented at [developers.epsilon.exchange](https://developers.epsilon.exchange).
